We were doing some more research on Dementia, and came across some studies and stories about coconut oil reversing the symptoms of dementia and alzheimer’s in some patients. Apparently, replacing the bad oils (margerine, olive, vegtable, corn, and canola) and gradually adding up to 2 more tablespoons per day to your diet, will help all sorts of ailments and mind diseases. We use coconut oil in our home and its an easy exchange for the other oils we are used to actually. So, along with the mind games every day for a week, try adding some virgin coconut oil to your diet and see if you notice any changes in your brain function.

We would love to hear any stories about helping your brain function. So please share them here or email us or send us a note on facebook!

Some extra information about coconut oil:

Coconut oil is also great for diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and thyroid function.

The coconut oil will give a person more energy, increasing metabolism and alertness.

Try using coconut oil for the flakiest pie crusts.

Deep frying is safest and tastiest with coconut oil.

Appetite for unhealthy fast foods will diminish with the use of coconut oil.

Coconut oil keeps in the cupboard for at least 2 years without going stale. It is not necessary to leave it in the refrigerator unless there is a reason for wanting it very hard.

If you do not have dementia and are not at risk just use coconut oil in place of other oils taking 1 and 2 tablespoons.

Although coconut oil has definitely helped others with Alzheimer’s and dementia, not all people are sick for the same reasons. If after a month of use the patient has not shown any signs of improvement, and if the coconut oil is not helping in other ways such as lowering blood pressure or lowering blood sugar levels, cut back on coconut usage to normal fat intake of 1 or 2 tablespoons.
