Co-enzyme NAD Dementia Treatment

Treating Alzheimer Patients with NAD

Testimonial by Donna Matthews RN

December 02, 2015

My Mother, Shirley, is 86 years young and was diagnosed with dementia/ Alzheimer’s in 2013. I was with her when she got this diagnosis. The tears started flowing as we sat there listening to her doctor tell her, life as she knows it is going to change. He attempted to comfort her by letting her know he was on the same path as her, he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. He instructed her to move in with family ASAP. Shirley being a retired critical care nurse knew exactly where her future was headed. She has always been very independent and considerate of others. Her response was,” I don’t want to burden my family.” I let her know she has been there for all eight of her children, it is time we are here for her now. Her doctor recommended she move within the month to a safer living situation.

Two years and nine months later, I have witnessed this amazing independent, active woman become complacent and dependent on me for almost everything. She is in moderate stage of Alzheimer’s requiring a lot of prompting with her daily care.

I came to know Dr Starr, at Ken Starr MD Addition Medicine Group, this year. After sharing my mother’s story he wanted to treat her with NAD. He knew the studies on Alzheimer’s patients  being treated with NAD have gotten  good results. The hope of my mother improving cognitively and slowing down this devastating disease would be incredible!

One week after she received ONE dose of NAD, and with NAD Nasal spray twice daily, she, has become more chatty and her mobility increased. Shirley has always been a great conversationalist. She was a great storyteller, a reflection of her era growing up with out TV. Six months prior to treatment, she noticeably declined being unable to track a conversation and contribute to discussions. She was not able to walk her usual full block and her mobility became extremely slow, she was requiring more help with things like getting dressed.

Now two weeks following her NAD treatment she is moving about better walking further than the distance she was walking six months ago. She is telling her stories and not requiring the extensive prompting she needed prior to this treatment. She is remembering to wash her hands, brush her teeth and is able to get herself dressed with minimal to no help.

Shirley’s improvement after one NAD treatment is amazing!Turning this disease around and keeping my mom’s mind intact for as long as possible is priceless!
