I cared for my mom for 8 years while she suffered with dementia .My mom is gone now. I miss my mom .I decided to write a mothers day letter in her honor  and to share it with you ;

Dear Mom,

Happy Mother’s Day to the most amazing woman in the world! You’re not just a mom, you’re my superhero, my confidant, and my partner in crime (especially when it comes to late-night ice cream raids!).

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for all the love, support, and laughter you’ve brought into my life. You’ve been there through thick and thin, always ready with a warm hug and a wise piece of advice (even if I didn’t always listen!).

So, here’s a little mix of sentimentality and lighthearted jokes, just for you:

Mom, you have a heart of gold, and your love is worth more than all the chocolate in the world (and that’s saying a lot!).

Remember all those times you told me not to jump on the bed? Well, I’m pretty sure my sense of humor bounced right off that mattress and straight into your heart. Thank you for appreciating my silly jokes, even when they’re more “eye-rolling” than “laugh-out-loud”!

They say motherhood is a balancing act, and you’ve mastered it like a pro. You can juggle work, household chores, and a mountain of laundry all while making it seem effortless. It’s no wonder you deserve a standing ovation!

Mom, you’re my favorite comedian. Your witty comebacks and clever one-liners always leave me in stitches (not to mention your impeccable timing when it comes to embarrassing me in front of my friends!). You truly know how to light up a room with your laughter.

You have a heart as big as the universe, Mom. Thank you for being my personal cheerleader, believing in me even when I doubted myself. Your support and encouragement have shaped me into the person I am today.

They say mothers have eyes in the back of their heads, but I think you have eyes everywhere! You somehow know exactly what’s going on in my life, even when I try to keep it a secret. Your intuition is truly remarkable, and it’s both impressive and slightly terrifying at times!

Mom, you have a smile that could brighten the gloomiest of days and a laugh that’s contagious. Your joy and positive spirit are like sunshine, warming the hearts of everyone around you. Thank you for spreading so much happiness wherever you go.

On this special day, I want you to know that I am forever grateful to have you as my mom. You’re not just my mom, you’re my best friend, my role model, and the one person I can always count on.

Thank you for loving me unconditionally, for your endless sacrifices, and for being the guiding light in my life. You’ve taught me the importance of laughter, the power of love, and the strength to face any challenge that comes my way.

So, here’s to you, Mom, the queen of our family, the funniest person I know, and the one who makes my world brighter every day.

I love you more than words can express.

Happy Mother’s Day, with all my heart and a sprinkle of humor!

Love,

Therese from Senior Care of Sacramento
